Tip Times

About Tip Times

Tip Times is a guide to household waste recycling centres in the UK, the places most people call the tip. It answers the questions people have before a trip: is it open today, do I need to book a slot, can I take a van or a trailer, will it take plasterboard or tyres, and what will it cost.

Why it exists

Councils publish this information, but it is spread across booking pages, charges pages, van permit pages and separate pages for each site, and the times change between summer and winter. Other directories often copy the times without saying where they came from or when they were checked. Every fact here links to the council's or operator's own page and shows the date we read it, so you can judge it for yourself. How we check explains the process.

Not a council service

Tip Times is independent. We are not a council, a waste authority or a site operator, and we are not paid by any of them. We cannot book a slot, issue a van permit or answer questions about a council account: for those, use the council's own website. GOV.UK's find your local council service will take you there.

How it is paid for

The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Ads never change what a listing says, and there are no paid placements or affiliate links.

Who runs it

Tip Times is published by AUSSIE-AI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17193460). Questions and corrections go through the contact page or to hello@tiptimes.co.uk.
